WMD Commission E-Update, September 9, 2009

Yesterday, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., and Ranking Member Susan Collins, R-Me., introduced legislation to prevent and prepare for terrorist attacks from biological weapons and other weapons of mass destruction (WMD).  This legislation directly builds on the recommendations in World at Risk, released in December 2008 by the Commission on the Prevention of WMD Proliferation and Terrorism, headed by former Senators Bob Graham and Jim Talent.
